Two Top Tens In One Night For Bill Mooney Racing

After another rain out Thursday at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill Mooney driver of the No. 2 Millar Powered Rocket traveled south to the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks for two main events last Friday, scoring two more top tens.

The first feature was a make-up race from a June 14th rain out. The race was restarted from scratch, meaning Bill start from the fifth starting spot. The race was ran after the street stock heat races, so the track was a little more tacky than the drivers are used to. Bill would slip back to the eighth spot early in the race, and would remain there until lap 15 when he would pass Joey Pederson and Steve Anderson to move to the sixth position...

Two More Top Fives For Bill Mooney Racing

Bill Mooney and the Bill Mooney Racing team looks to be hitting their stride after scoring two more top five finishes last week. On Thursday night, July 11th, the World of Outlaws late model series made their second visit to the Red River Co-Op Speedway near Winnipeg. Bill was 19th quick in qualifying in his No. 2 Millar powered Rocket, earning him a spot in the nights’ toughest heat race. Bill’s heat, the third heat of the night, had six Outlaw regulars while the previous two heats had only four travelers. He started and finished seventh, so Bill would have to go through the B main event to qualify for the feature. Bill finished fourth in the B, giving him the 22nd starting spot in the 50 lap feature, Bill finished 18th, completing 48 laps...

Bill Mooney Racing to Compete Against the World of Outlaw Late Models

A normal week of racing was on the card for Bill Mooney Racing last week, with two race at the team’s home tracks. First on Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill and his No. 2 Millar powered Rocket, finished second in his heat race, nearly picking off Mike Balcaen for the win when Balcaen got sideways in turn four on the final lap. In the main event, Bill started and finished in the fifth position, but that doesn’t mean Bill wasn’t busy during the race. The track surface was rough in the corners, causing the 2 car to turn hard to the right while exiting turn four on a couple of occasions. Fortunately for Bill, he had very little competition behind him for most of the event.

Just One Of Those Weeks For Bill Mooney Racing

Three races in four nights for Bill Mooney Racing produced some rare and unfortunate events.

Racing started on Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway near Winnipeg, MB. Bill, and his No. 2 Millar powered Rocket, started on the outside of the front row in the second heat of the evening. After running second for the first four laps, Bill would bring out a caution after coming to a stop on the inside of the fourth turn. Bill would restart last, and charge back to the fourth position, one spot shy of the redraw, giving Bill the eleventh starting spot for the main event...
