Bill Mooney Racing Recap: Second Place On Night Two For Car Two

After another rain-out at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill Mooney driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbuilt by JMR, began the week at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, and collected a second place finish in just his second night in his new mount.

It has become commonplace for a poor draw to bury Bill deep in the heat race, and last Friday night would prove no different, as Bill would start dead last in his heat race. Bill began the heat by passing Bryce Beck and Jeff McDonald before one lap was completed, and set his sights on Cole Schill for fifth. He passed Schill on the third lap, and then Shane Edginton became his next victim on lap five...

After the season opener at the Red River Co-Op Speedway was rained out on Thursday night, Bill Mooney driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota, OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbuilt by JMR traveled south to the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks to open the 2015 season last Friday night.

The new season brings big changes to the 2 crew, including a new chassis and new sponsors. Bill traded in his Rocket chassis for a MasterSbuilt chassis built by Jay McDonald of Fargo, ND. Friday night would be the first time Bill would hit the track in the new car to learn all the nuances of the new machine...
