The season came to an end last weekend as Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota/OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, collected two more podium finishes during the Prairie Classic at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg.

First on Friday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill started third in the heat, and finished second, earning him the third starting spot in the feature, as the races started straight-up by heat race finish. After being snake-bit at previous presentations of the John Seitz Memorial race, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota/OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, looked to turn his luck around at the biggest race of the season, but mechanical woes would continue his streak of bad luck at this event for another year.

The three day stretch started on Thursday night at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, with the 5th annual ‘Prelude to the Johnny’ season finale for the Northern Late Model Racing Association. After a regular night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway on Thursday night, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota/OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, used a Friday rain out at River Cities to collect a big victory at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

On Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg, Bill started fifth in the heat race and finished fourth. Bill started third in the feature, and was second through the first two corners, before running nearly four wide with Walt Morris, Paul Veert, and Dustin Strand shortly after. After collecting a second place finish and a pair of fourth place finishes, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota/OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, will look to carry a renewed momentum into another miniseries of four races in as many nights this weekend.
