Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Top Five At Home Serves As Prairie Classic Warm Up

After another top five finish last Saturday night, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lucas Oil Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, will look to carry momentum from last weekends’ performance into the Prairie Classic weekend at the Red River Co-Op Speedway.

Bill started and finished third in his heat race behind soon-to-be Wissota national champion Dustin Strand and multiple time track champion Mike Balcaen.

Bill started fifth in the feature, and went three wide with Balcaen and Strand in turns one and two at the onset of the event. The 2 car then went three wide with Ricky Weiss and Mike Balcaen in turns three and four at the end of the opening circuit.

Bill Mooney Racing Preview – Three More Races At Home

After two weeks away from the track, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 OMG Candy Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, is scheduled to take to the track three more times at the Red River Co-Op Speedway.

This Saturday night, the Red River Co-Op Speedway season continues it’s regularly scheduled race program, including Late Models for the first time since September 1st. At that race, Bill had the car to beat, as he dominated the 20 lap event for 17 laps. Lapped traffic cost the driver of the 2 car a win, however, as Dustin Strand slipped by, setting up another one-two finish for the pair. Bill ran a race best 18-and-a-half second lap, at 125 km/h.

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – A Successful Seitz Memorial Weekend

Looking to reverse the bad luck he has had at the John Seitz Memorial in the past, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 McPhillips Toyota Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, finished second on Thursday night, and rebounded after finishing seventh in his heat race to make the show in the B Main.

On Thursday night, the tenth annual John Seitz Memorial kicked off with the sixth annual ‘Prelude to the Johnny’ which serves as the NLRA season finale. Sunshine in the afternoon gave way to cloudy skies that threatened to wreak more havoc on the River Cities Speedway, as over twelve centimeters of rain had fallen on the area in the past week.

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Heartbreaker At Home, Top Ten At River Cities

A week removed from another pair of top fives in NLRA competition, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Winnipeg Hearing Centres Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, had a sure win go away in lapped traffic at home on Thursday, then had another solid top ten run at River Cities on Friday.

Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg, Bill started fifth in his heat, and raced up to fourth, into a redraw spot, earning the third starting spot in the main event.
