Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Strong Start To Home Schedule

Looking to improve on a tough 2016 campaign at his home track, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Weed Man Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, did just that, finishing a strong second last Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg.

Last Thursday night, it was the season opener at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg, and Bill drew the pole for the heat, which he won by a large margin over Kevin Sexton and Rick Fawcett.

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Solid Start Continues With Another Podium At River Cities

It has been a solid start to the season for Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 OMG Candy Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, who chalked up his second podium of the season last Friday night at River Cities.

Last Friday at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, a mid pack draw saw the 2 car slated for the fifth starting spot in his heat race. But, just like on opening night, Bill wasted little time making up ground, finishing second to Mike Balcaen in the heat race.

Friday was the Wissota Race of Champions qualifier, so it made the program another draw-redraw event. Bill redrew the fourth starting spot for the main event.

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Highs And Lows On Night Two At River Cities

After a win one week prior at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Winnipeg Hearing Centres Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, scored another top ten after a late spin.

After a good draw of four out of 100, Bill started on the pole of his heat race. Bill went on to win by over half a second, while recording the best lap of the night. The lap was just over twelve seconds, at 140-and-a-half km/h.

Bill said of the heat win, “It was nice to start on the pole, and the car was great! You never know, when you’re out front, how hard you have to run. So, I guess, if the cars good, you go as hard as you can.”

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – A Win On Night One At River Cities

Last Friday night marked the beginning of the 2017 season for Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lithia Toyota Millar Powered MasterSbilt by JMR, and he kicked it off in a big way, picking up the victory at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

Last Friday night marked the opening of a new season, and like most racks in the area, River CitiesĀ is using a new scoring system.

But it was same old same old at the pit gate, as he drew 91 out of 100, handing him the final starting spot in the heat race. Bill wasted little time making up for the poor draw, however, as he ran around the inside of the track and climbed all the way to second at the end of the heat.
