Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Another Pair Of Top Fives

Last week was another solid week as Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Erickson Motors Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, scored two more top five finishes.

Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill finished third in his heat race, slating him sixth for the feature. Bill lost a position in each of the first two circuits, settling into seventh, continuing on in that spot until the halfway point when a caution flag flew for Shane Holden.

Bill followed closely behind Dustin Strand, Kevin Sexton, and Rick Fawcett on the restart, eventually passing Fawcett down the backstretch with nine laps left...

Last week started off on a high note as Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Pioneer Window and Door Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, scored a podium finish at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, but bad luck would lie ahead for the rest of the weekend.

Last Thursday night at the Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, a fifth place finish from the sixth starting spot in the heat race mired Bill all the way back to the outside of the fifth row for the feature.

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Taking The Point Lead In Winnipeg

One night after he took the point lead at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Budget RV Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, raced to another podium finish at the River Cities Speedway last Friday night.

On Thursday night at the Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, a near late arrival to the track due to construction and trains was actually a benefit. Bill drew a five out of fifty, and started on the pole of his heat race. A second place finish to defending national champion Dustin Strand, paired with his high point average, placed Bill on the outside of the third row in the main event.

Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Leaving No Doubt In Winnipeg Drought Buster

For the first time since June 2015, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Maaco Auto Painting Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, won at the Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg last Thursday night, winning by nearly five seconds.

Bill drew the fourth starting spot for his heat race, and finished third behind Mike Balcaen and Ricky Weiss. Bill’s point average gave him the fourth starting spot in the main event.

Bill took his customary high line at the start as Shane Edginton, Kevin Sexton, and Paul Veert went three wide for the lead. Bill passed Veert for third at the end of the opening lap, then used the middle of turns one and two to peek to the inside of Edginton for second...
