Bill Mooney Racing Recap – Sixth Place Finish Highlights Seitz Memorial Weekend

It was a successful weekend for Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lithia Toyota of Grand Forks MasterSbilt by JMR, as he scored his best finish in the John Seitz Memorial 92 lap main event, grabbing sixth on the final lap.

After a rainout on Thursday night, Bill headed into night one of the 12th annual John Seitz Memorial with a good draw, a seven out of 100, which put him on the pole of the third qualiying heat for the 92 lap, $9,200-to-win main event on Saturday night.

The rain made the track very fast, and very narrow, but Bill capitalized early, taking the lead from Jeff Hapala. Bill lead all twelve laps, scoring his first Seitz Memorial heat win.

Bill Mooney Racing Preview – 12th Annual John Seitz Memorial

This weekend, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lucas Oil Millar powered MasterSbilt by JMR, will be a busy man, as he will aim to race three features in as many days, including trying to earn a berth into the 92 lap, $9,200-to-win John Seitz Memorial at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

Last Friday night at the River Cities Speedway, Bill finished a strong third in the heat race, and was preparing to roll out fourth in the feature, but the rains came, postponing the event until the opening night of the 12th annual John Seitz Memorial, which kicks off on Thursday night.
