After another top five in Winnipeg last Thursday night, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Millar Engines powered MasterSbilt by JMR, came from deep in the field for another top five at River Cities last Friday.

Thursday at the Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Bill charged from fourth to second in the heat race. After running the majority of the race in a solid top five position, Bill made a late pass on Kevin Sexton to steal the fourth spot in the final pair of laps in the main event.

Friday at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, Bill started and finished seventh in his heat race, burying him deep in the lineup for the feature.

Bill started 13th, and had made up one position by the races first caution for Mike Balcaen on lap two. Bill moved into the top ten before the races second caution for Tom Corcoran on lap five.

Bill passed Brad Seng and Zach Naastad to move into seventh before fifth running Travis Robertson rolled on the front stretch on the seventh round.

On the restart, Bill narrowly avoided disaster when third place running Steffen Snare spun. Bill was able to sneak by on the bottom and continue on.

On the final restart, Bill took fourth from Shane Edginton, but the field spaced out on the rough and narrow racing surface, and Bill survived for a fourth place finish.

Stat Attack:

Bill has three wins, 15 top fives, and 18 top tens, in twenty nights of racing this season.

What’s on Tap:

The busiest week of Bill’s season starts in Ada, MN on Thursday before continuing the regular season at River Cities on Friday. Saturday features a return to the Jamestown Speedway, then the five race stretch ends Sunday at the Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, ND.
