On Friday, August the eighth, at the River Cities Speedway during the Wissota Race of Champions, Bill started third and beat the likes of Joey Pederson and Mike Balcaen for a heat race victory, giving Bill the pole position for the main event. Bill lead the first lap, but was overtaken by Brad Seng on the second lap. Bill would spend the latter part of the first half of the feature battling Joey Pederson once again for second. Bill raced with Zach Naastad, Shane Edginton, and Tom Corcoran for the remainder of the race, finishing in the sixth position.

Last Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, Bill started on the pole of his heat, but was unable to finish the event due to mechanical issues that would continue to plague his effort into the feature. Bill was only able to complete nine laps of the main event, before retiring for the evening.

After having to miss Friday nights’ action at the River Cities Speedway, Bill was able to make repairs in time for Saturday nights’ racing program. Bill started fourth in his heat race, and finished sixth, earning him the 16th starting spot for the main event. Bill was mired in the back with some newer drivers making passing difficult throughout the race, but he was able to improve two positions, finishing 14th.

Bill has six top fives and 13 top tens in 26 nights of racing this year. Bill is eighth in the Red River Co-Op and River Cities Speedway points standings. Bill is also eighth in the NLRA series points standings. Bill is scheduled to race three times this week starting Thursday at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN with the NLRA, on Friday at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, and at the Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND once again with the NLRA.
