BMR Racing opens up home schedule

The rain let up just long enough to allow Bill and his No. 2 Millar powered Rocket to be one of thirteen late models to open the 40th season of racing at the Red River Co-Op Speedway just south of Winnipeg, MB.

Despite all the rain, and the late spring thaw, the track was dry, perfect conditions for passing, which is just what the doctor ordered as Bill, who finished 3rd in his heat, would start 8th in the main event. After making up two spots in the first two laps.

Bill moved to the outside on the backstretch making it three wide with Mike Balcaen, and Shane Edginton. Something had to give as Balcaen and Edginton made contact causing Edginton to spin, and collecting three other competitors. Bill would restart 5th on the lap 3 restart, and again would make up one spot in each of the next two laps, to make it to the 3rd position.

Third is where he would complete the 20 lap event, following Ricky Weiss, and Dustin Strand to the finish line. In just four nights it his new race car, Bill has collected two top five finishes and has passed a total of 25 cars during those races.

Look for Bill to be in action twice this week as he will once again run on Thursday Night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, and Friday Night at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND, where they hope to not get rained on for a third straight week.

BMR Racing Crew Member Makes Behind-the-Wheel debut
BMR Racing crew member Justin Bronk debuted his Wissota Midwest Modified last Saturday Night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. Starting 18th in the 19 car field, Justin survived an early race pileup on the backstretch, and continued on to a 9th place finish. Justin also raced Monday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway, finishing 7th in the feature.
